Ernesto Neto, a Brazilian concept artist, was born in 1964 in Rio de Janeiro. his work is something that soft, pleasant to the touch or not usual amusing coloured installations, causing a storm of emotions, vivid impressions, passion, inspiration, joy. Some of its installations are transparent light white and resemble fog or milk, some like a blue soft cloud, everything is unusual, as in a labyrinth. His practice explores the boundaries of the physical and social space through interactive, tactile and biomorphic structures. The artist said about his work
“I believe in the sensory body, and it is through the movement of such bodily minds that we associate things in this world, in life – how we touch, how we feel, how we think and how we do it,” in his works he uses textiles, and other soft materials.
Neto studied in the city of Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage from 1994 to 1997
